Job Description:


As an AR Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s billing functions. This includes the generation and distribution of invoices, processing of incoming payments, and maintenance of accurate financial records. You will work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless billing process and enhance customer relations.


Key Responsibilities:


·        Generate and distribute accurate invoices and credit memos to customers.

·        Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies in billing and payments.

·        Communicate effectively with customers to address billing inquiries and resolve issues.

·        Process payments, prepare deposits, and execute electronic transfers.

·        Assess and manage customer credit applications and credit limits.

·        Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable.

·        Ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and accounting standards.

·        Maintain comprehensive records of billing activities, payments, and account statuses.

·        Collaborate with sales and customer service to improve billing processes and customer satisfaction.

·        Handle special billing arrangements and manage overdue accounts.


Qualifications:


·        Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

·        Proven experience as a billing clerk or similar role, ideally in the distribution industry.

·        Strong understanding of billing processes and accounts receivable principles.

·        Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.

·        Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·        Strong communication and customer service skills.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
