We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be focused on executing weekly payroll operations, maintaining payroll records, and dealing with payroll-related queries. Your role will also include tracking and managing employee deductions and preparing various payroll reports.

Responsibilities
• Execute weekly payroll processing tasks
• Prepare and reconcile statutory payroll and employee deductions
• Handle payroll related inquiries and resolve issues
• Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions
• Prepare monthly payroll journal entries
• Reconcile payroll general ledger, pension deductions, and source deductions
• Generate and manage various payroll reports including sick leave, vacation, and overtime
• Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze payroll data
• Implement full cycle payroll procedures
• Ensure adherence to Payroll standards and regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Payroll Clerk role or similar
• Proficiency in Canadian Payroll procedures and regulations
• Experience with Full Cycle Payroll, including preparation, processing, and distribution
• Demonstrated ability to manage Payroll for under 100 employees
• Strong skills in processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, calculations, and reporting
