Compensation

Effective September 1, 2024 - $7, per half course (195 hours nominally)
Effective September 1, 2024 - $14, per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

1. PhD completed in medieval and/or Renaissance studies.*

2. Evidence of satisfactory teaching experience at the university level, including course development in the area of medieval or Renaissance studies.

3. Teaching and breadth of knowledge in the history of Christianity with special reference to the Middle Ages and the Reformation era.

*It is the applicant's responsibility to demonstrate how his/her university-level teaching experience is equivalent to a completed PhD and to account breadth of knowledge in the history of Christianity and the Reformation era.
