Résumé du poste :

Le manœuvre général est en bonne condition physique et effectue des travaux de construction et fournit le soutien nécessaire pour garantir l'achèvement des projets en temps voulu. Le manœuvre suit de bonnes pratiques et procédures de travail et donne l'exemple aux nouveaux membres de l'équipe et aux collègues. Le manœuvre peut : utiliser une variété d'équipements et d'instruments, y compris des outils manuels et électriques de tous types ; nettoyer et préparer les sites ; nettoyer les débris ; enlever la moisissure, l'amiante, le plomb et d'autres matériaux dangereux.

Responsabilités :

- Donne l'exemple et respecte toutes les politiques et procédures de santé et de sécurité.
- S'efforce de s'améliorer continuellement grâce à des plans de développement spécifiques.
- Accepte les directives du chef d'équipe, du technicien principal en eau et/ou du charpentier principal et des collègues plus expérimentés.
- Participe à une discipline de bonne tenue du chantier pour assurer un lieu de travail sûr et non encombré et pour minimiser les contaminations croisées.
- Apprend et pratique les procédures correctes, notamment lorsqu'un travail environnemental est requis.
- Respecte la politique de l'entreprise concernant les normes acceptables à suivre sur un site client, par exemple la politique de non-fumée, etc.
- Affiche de bonnes manières et une bonne attitude envers le propriétaire de la propriété, les occupants de la propriété, les collègues et les sous-traitants.
- Est prêt et capable d'être de garde 24h/24 et 7j/7 pour les travaux d'urgence après les heures de bureau.
- Dirige les questions ou préoccupations des clients vers la personne la plus expérimentée de l'entreprise présente sur le chantier.
- Veille sur ses collègues et les aide.
- Les activités de travail peuvent inclure du travail physique, la manipulation et le levage de matériaux, la montée d'échelles, le port d'un masque respiratoire et le travail dans des espaces restreints (greniers, sous-sols et vides sanitaires).

Qualifications :

- Expérience antérieure dans la construction ou le nettoyage préférée.
- Expérience avec des outils manuels et électriques préférée.
- Diplôme d'études secondaires ou équivalent.
- Permis de conduire (sans restrictions).

Position Summary:

The General Labourer is in good physical condition and provides construction work and support required to ensure timely project completion. The Labourer follows good work practices and procedures and sets a good example for new crew members and co-workers. The Labourer may: operate a variety of equipment and instruments, including hand and power tools of all types; clean and prepare sites; clean up rubble and debris; remove mold, asbestos lead, and other hazardous materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads by example and follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Strives to continually improve through specific development plans.
  • Accepts direction from the Lead Hand, Lead Water Technician and/or Lead Carpenter and more experienced co-workers.
  • Participates in good housekeeping discipline on the job to ensure a safe non-cluttered workplace and to minimize cross-contamination.
  • Learns and practices correct procedures, especially when environmental work is required.
  • Adheres to company policy regarding acceptable standards to follow at a customer site i.e. smoking policy etc.
  • Displays good manners and attitude toward the property owner, occupants of the property, co-workers, and sub-contractors.
  • Is willing and able to be on-call 24/7 for after hour's emergency work.
  • Directs customer questions or concerns to the most senior company person at the job site.
  • Looks out for and assists co-workers.
  • Work activities may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)

Qualifications:

  • Previous construction or cleaning work preferred.
  • Experience with hand tools & power tools preferred.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Driver's License (No Restrictions)
