The Senior Business System Analyst is responsible for conducting systems process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives on projects of highly complex nature and/or business area.

Act as a subject matter expert in identifying best solutions and uses of technology to drive business growth, profitability, and efficiencies. Work with expert users and business representatives to determine business requirements that must be met through enhancements in technology. Manage client relationships and facilitate requirement gathering sessions / discussions.  Works with systems analysts, application developers and business analysts to identify options for potential solutions and the impact to systems, while assessing both technical and business suitability.  Manage daily operations and functionality of the application within production support area, resolve production problems and errors. Test system enhancements and products for discrepancies, and document relevant data in an accurate and timely manner as required.  Research, evaluate and recommend operational procedures and best practices to optimize processes and workflow efficiencies. Mentor and train less experienced business systems analysts. Develop and maintain a knowledge and understanding of company operations/procedures, and insurance industry trends/developments, to enhance the Systems analysis process.
 

You have:

Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 6-8 years of Business Systems experience. Minimum 1-3 years of project management experience. Knowledge of insurance, business, and technical areas; Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.
