About this Opportunity

The Production Foreman will supervise the Operations team, providing leadership and direct mentorship to the Field Operations Team in the Grande Prairie area. This position will report to the Grande Prairie Regional Manager and will provide supervision to a growing field team.

The successful candidate will work on a 9/80 schedule (Monday-Friday, with every second Friday off).

Job functions will involve:

Provide direct day to day supervision of personnel to ensure that business requirements and environmental, health & safety objectives/standards are metAbility to keep safety in mind at all times, as well as guide or assist operations staff with identifying and mitigating hazards in order to ensure that projects or day to day operations are being carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible mannerConsult with all Regional team members as necessary, using independent judgment to determine courses of actionWork directly with the Facility, Production and Process Engineering Teams including our Integrity SME’s for equipment design, review and operating standardsWork with our Marketing group on production nominations to include gas and oil/liquids blending strategiesPlace a high priority on HSE, maintenance, Opex budget and fiscal managementSupport and initiate reviews of safe work practices, MOC implementation and execution, reporting and presenting Operations weekly updatesIncident reporting and investigation reviews, commissioning and start up activities with PSSR review and sign off, regulatory AER compliance checks, and monthly Leadership walkdownsProvide leadership and assist with career development of personnelDevelop and manage production-based contractsProvide input to regional budget and support the production budget processEnsure business/administrative requirements are met with respect to agreement terms and legislative requirementsCommunicate with the team daily to ensure business requirements are met to support production operationsPromote adherence to company policies and proceduresAssertive in problem solving and decision making with respect to people, schedules, materials and other general coordination itemsMaintain active internal/external relationships

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Production ForemanMinimum 10 years oil and gas field operations experienceStrong background in field operations including compression, dehydration, and water disposal. Experience in gas plant operation considered an asset.High School Diploma or equivalent is requiredCompleted SAIT GPO or PFO industry training courses, or equivalent4th or 3rd class Power Engineering certification would be considered an assetGood working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to learn, adhere and work with all Paramount based software programs and processesSelf-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision, time management and organizational effectiveness are critical to this positionAbility to solve complex problemsDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and a sense of teamworkMust possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, as well as valid H2S and First Aid certificationsThe successful applicant will reside in the Grande Prairie, AB area or in close proximity
