Our GFL team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Corporate Development Analyst to join us in Toronto, ON. As a Corporate Development Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for providing overall transaction execution support including assisting the team in performing financial due diligence on potential acquisitions. This is a high-performance, transaction-based role.

A “Day in the Life" of a Corporate Developemnt Analyst
• Assist in performing detailed financial due diligence on target companies, and help prepare related quality of earnings/financial due diligence reports
• Prepare presentation materials for senior executives and Board members
• Perform forecasting, financial statement analysis, and scenario analysis
• Complete market research and gather relevant data
• Liaise with and support all members of GFL’s acquisition team
• Provide support to Co-op students and interns

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
• 0-2 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role
• University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field of study
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other standard business software applications
• Solid business understanding, problem solving skills, and business intuition
• Solid understanding of financial statements and related accounting concepts
• Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as a team member under deadline pressures; set priorities; respond to changing demands from multiple sources
• A strong desire to learn new technologies and drive for continuous improvement and career growth
• Motivation and eagerness to learn and develop in their role and within the organization
• Excellent organizational, time management, planning, and problem solving/decision making skills
