With over 20,000 members, SSMU’s role is to represent undergraduate students and to offer them services since 1908.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President Student Life, and working with the Systems Administrator the Portal Coordinator supports the SSMU Student Group portal management and operation. The Portal Coordinator will provide courteous service and support with respect to their workstations and various technical problems they may be experiencing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collect and input information to the Portal

Assists with the organization of Portal

Communicates with Student groups to receive pertinent information

Is the point person for portal communication

Troubleshooting: Detect and solve problems before they occur.

Other tasks related.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

To undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Vice-President (Student Life).

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

The Services Administrative Assistant receives general direction from the Vice-President (Student Life).

Qualifications

Knowledge of the functioning of SSMU student groups is required

Experience in website operation is required

Understanding of Microsoft office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), G Suite, and WordPress is required

Experience serving as an executive of a SSMU club or service is required

Knowledge of student governance and student politics an asset

Highly organized and strong attention to detail

Initiative and results driven oriented

Strong communication skills both in English and French an asset.

Additional Information

Casual part-time  Position term: Contract Application closes July 28, 2023 Salary: $15.25/hr
