Jump on Ship The Opportunity:

At Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre, we have an immediate opening for a Cook If you are an experienced and customer focused Cook with a positive attitude and willingness to grow and develop, we want you

What You Will Do:

Follow the leadership of the Executive Chef, providing a top-quality product that meets and exceeds guests’ expectations Produce the orders from the dining room and room service in a timely and efficient manner Assist to open or close the front line according to established procedures Preparation and set up of the line, having all mis in place according to prep list Maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment+ Prepare and cook all orders according to standards, within the established time guidelines

What You Need to Succeed:

Diploma or equivalent from an accredited culinary program Registered Apprentice would be an asset 2 years Culinary experience as a line cook in a busy environment Strong organizational skills Positive attitude and ability to be a team player are a must Willingness to learn and take on multiple tasks Excellent attention to detail Ability to show initiative and handle problems without guidance Must be able to stand for 8 hours Must be able to speak, write and read the English language
