Description

To provide training initial and recurrent training and proactively promote a ‘safety first’ culture. As the Training Supervisor you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating training to fulfil our service standards for our Customer Airlines.

You will ensure that our ground handling is delivered safely, on time and through a process of following policy, supporting the field operation to introduce safe working procedures, training and proactive audit programs. This role is responsible for driving corporate training and the administration of the field station training programs for ramp and cargo operations through hands on and verbal instruction.

Main Accountabilities Include:

Schedule, conduct initial and recurrent training. Schedule and conduct Lead & Supervisor Aircraft Loading (SAL) Training. Schedule and conduct GSE Training. Promote a professional image at all times applying the Company Uniform Standards. Ensures the safe and correct control of all resources on the Ramp. Complies with all Airlines Ground Handling Regulations. Support corporate compliance with applicable Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations Support employees and supervisors in undertaking the proactive and preventative measures necessary to achieve compliance with health and safety legislation as it applies to them. Full compliance and implementation at all times of the following: Airline Handling ManualsAirports Disruption Management PolicyCustomer Service PromiseCommunications PromisePOA (Person of Accountability) procedures Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management. Maintain compliance with all government, customer and company policies/procedures. Must be able to travel to other Stations when required. Must be able to hold and maintain Airport security clearance. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have and maintain valid Class 5 Driver’s license and DA/AVOP and Transport Canada Security Clearance. Must have basic knowledge of Excel, word & outlook. Must be Bilingual (English and French) Must have at least 2 years’ experience on the following: Ramp GSEBaggage TractorBelt LoaderPush Back Tractor – ConventionalPush Back Tractor – Towbarless (will be beneficial)Lower Deck LoaderMain Deck Loader (will be beneficial) High school diploma with at least two (2) years of experience in ramp operations in a Lead/Supervisor or Training capacity. Must have previous experience as a Ramp lead and have a satisfactory safety/performance record. Must be certified trainer for customer or be able to successfully complete and pass the training program. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word programs. Thorough knowledge of ground handling operations, aviation security, safety practices, legislation and customer supplier relationships Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances. Ability to drive safety van and truck from one work site to another as needed. A working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues. Understanding of the wider airport operational environment. Must be able to lift up to 70lbs when required. Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation. Experience in Health and Safety Management.

Vous veillerez à ce que notre assistance en escale soit livrée en toute sécurité, à temps et par le biais d'un processus de respect de la politique, en soutenant l'opération sur le terrain pour introduire des procédures de travail sûres, des formations et des programmes d'audit proactifs. Ce rôle est responsable de la conduite de la formation en entreprise et de l'administration des programmes de formation des stations de terrain pour les opérations de rampe et de fret par le biais d'instructions pratiques et verbales.

Les Principales Responsabilités Incluent:

Planifier, animer des formations initiales et récurrentes. Planifier et diriger la formation de chef et de superviseur sur le chargement des aéronefs (SAL). Planifier et animer la formation GSE. Promouvoir une image professionnelle à tout moment en appliquant les normes uniformes de l'entreprise. Assure le contrôle sûr et correct de toutes les ressources sur la rampe. Conforme à toutes les réglementations de manutention au sol des compagnies aériennes. Soutenir la conformité de l'entreprise avec les réglementations applicables en matière de gestion de la santé et de la sécurité au travail Soutenir les employés et les superviseurs dans la prise des mesures proactives et préventives nécessaires pour se conformer à la législation en matière de santé et de sécurité qui s'applique à eux. Respect total et mise en œuvre à tout moment des éléments suivants: Manuels de gestion des compagnies aériennesPolitique de gestion des perturbations des aéroportsPromesse de service clientPromesse de communicationProcédures POA (Person of Accountability) Signaler toute violation des exigences légales ou des meilleures pratiques de l'entreprise à la direction. Maintenir la conformité avec toutes les politiques/procédures du gouvernement, des clients et de l'entreprise. Doit être en mesure de se déplacer vers d'autres stations au besoin. Doit être en mesure de détenir et de maintenir l'habilitation de sécurité de l'aéroport. Effectuer d'autres tâches au besoin.

Diplômes et Expérience:

Doit détenir et maintenir un permis de conduire G valide et une autorisation de sécurité DA / AVOP et Transports Canada. Doit avoir au moins 2 ans d'expérience dans les domaines suivants: Rampe GSETracteur à bagagesChargeur à bandeTracteur Push Back – ConventionnelPush Back Tractor – Towbarless (sera bénéfique)Chargeur de pont inférieurChargeur de pont principal (sera bénéfique) Diplôme d'études secondaires avec au moins deux (2) ans d'expérience dans les opérations au sol à titre de chef/superviseur ou de formation. Doit avoir une expérience antérieure en tant que responsable de rampe et avoir un dossier de sécurité/performance satisfaisant. Doit être un formateur certifié pour le client ou être en mesure de réussir et de réussir le programme de formation. Capacité à communiquer efficacement verbalement et par écrit. Doit être capable de travailler des heures prolongées à court préavis lors d'opérations non routinières. Maîtrise des programmes Microsoft Excel et Word. Connaissance approfondie des opérations d'assistance en escale, de la sécurité aérienne, des pratiques de sécurité, de la législation et des relations clients-fournisseurs. Doit être en mesure d'obtenir et de détenir toutes les autorisations de sécurité requises. Capacité à conduire une fourgonnette et un camion de sécurité d'un chantier à un autre, au besoin. Une connaissance pratique des problèmes de maintenance GSE. Compréhension de l'environnement opérationnel de l'aéroport au sens large. Doit être capable de soulever jusqu'à 70 lb au besoin. Expérience et compréhension des enjeux commerciaux de l'aviation. Expérience en gestion de la santé et de la sécurité.
