Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Chatham Ontario
In this position, you will be working on heavy diesel garbage trucks. We do a lot of hydraulics and electrical work along with preventative maintenance and minor engine repair. Much of our fleet is still under warranty
The shifts are 2 weeks days, (first week, 5am-2:30PM, second week, 7am-4:30 pm) then switch to 3 weeks afternoons (2pm-11:30pm) and back again.
Pay rate will be $41.92. $1000 yearly tool allowance, $500 yearly boot allowance.

Qualifications:
Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or equivalent, strong apprentices will be considered.
3-4 years of experience in truck and trailer repairs
Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests
Experience with drivability, hydraulics, engines
