General Information:

We are looking for a summer intern in electrical engineering to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy – Montreal. You will be part of a team of talented engineers working for Systems Design / Control and Protection / department, reporting to the HVDC Engineering Manager in Canada. You will contribute with control systems cabinets electrical drawings and layouts and also with system performance studies using EMT tools. If you passionate for working with power electronics , you are eager to learn, and you enjoy working on a global structure of high technology and innovation, this is for you

Internship duration: 4 months

Start date: June 3rd, 2024

Work mode: Hybrid

Responsibilities:

Support hardware design team on electrical schematics and layouts

Support system performance team with EMT studies

Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments

Your background:

You are studying electrical engineering bachelor degree or correlated area

You are passionate for Electric Power Engineering

You can make the complex simple and show creativity in your approach to problem solving You are ready to work in an international and multicultural work environment.

Previous experience with high voltage equipment and electrical drawings schematics is an asset.

Experience with EMT studies and HIL equipment will be highly appreciated.

Able to communicate in French and English.
