About the Role

A media company is seeking an experienced videographer to capture red carpet coverage at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This short-term project requires a skilled professional to document celebrity interviews and gather supplementary footage over the course of the festival. The ideal candidate will be based in or able to travel to Toronto, Canada, and possess the necessary equipment to deliver high-quality video content in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture red carpet interviews at TIFF, with approximately 2-3 interviews per day
  • Set up and operate camera equipment for standing monopod or tripod shots
  • Record clear audio using a handheld microphone for interviewer use
  • Shoot complementary B-roll footage of the event
  • Manage and organize footage on-site

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event videography, particularly in red carpet or similar fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency with professional-grade video and audio equipment
  • Own equipment including camera, tripod or gimbal, and handheld interview microphone
  • Ability to work long hours (up to 90 minutes per interview session)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
