Road Dock

You will be responsible for the overall operational integrity and condition of dock doors with the following responsibilities:
- Receive service call requests from the national call center department
- Explain problems, solutions consequences, conditions, and cost of repairs to customers
- Repair dock products at customer’s facility including: doors, seals, bumpers, restraints
- Test specific areas, parts, and components to ensure safety and optimal operation of equipment
- Fill out work orders outlining issue, summary of work performed, and actions required
- Fulfill service duties at customer sites on docks and overhead doors
- Meet SLA Agreement standards of service
- Successfully service equipment and encourage repeat business through exceptional customer service
- As a technician, you are the front line contact for customers, so you are comfortable with client contact as well as being technical savvy.
- High school completion or equivalent education proficiency and/or minimum of 1 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or equivalent related experience.
- Automotive Certification (310S) or Heavy Duty Technician Certification (421A) an asset.
- Welding required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devices, knowledge of the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurements.
- Able to interpret and implement technical procedures.
- Solid knowledge of general Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Salary Negotiable.
