We are currently seeking a Structural and Fuel Channel Analyst/Engineer who specializes in Mechanical Design Analysis, providing technical and operational leadership, having superior client relations skills and a proven ability to deliver major assignments.
Your role within the team
Design analysis of CANDU reactor components, systems and structures including mechanical equipment. Engineering calculations to support design nuclear pressure boundary components and Preparation of formal technical reports. Review of design documents, calculations, and analysis reports. Execute engineering activities within budget and schedule. Provide accurate reporting of engineering work to technical and project managers. Provide prompt response and engineering resolutions on any critical engineering related matters. Perform engineering work following AtkinsRéalis/CANDU Energy Quality Assurance programs, and applicable codes, standards, and regulation requirements. Coordinate and interface with client, suppliers, stakeholders and other design disciplines or department to execute assigned engineering work. Why choose AtkinsRéalis as an employer?

The ideal candidate
A bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from a university of recognized standing. Registered as an Engineer-In-Training or eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. At least 1 - 3 years of related work experience in the field of design and analysis of complex mechanical systems or equipment (knowledge of CANDU nuclear systems would be an asset) Ability to work under the supervision a senior analyst/engineer/lead and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Experience in the interpretation of GD&T is preferred. Experience in classical stress calculation. Experience in finite element analysis using ANSYS/LS-DYNA/ABAQUS.
