We are a growing and very successful leading agricultural product company and distributor of minerals, feed ingredients, feed additives and pet specialty ingredients. Our 20 warehouses positioned throughout North America support our distribution capabilities and allow us to serve our diverse customer base across Canada and the U.S.

CDL Drivers are the heart of our distribution centers and are critical to the fulfillment of our customer orders. Our Drivers will be responsible for the delivery of materials using a commercial vehicle and are required to have a CDL. This position report to the Distribution/Logistics Manager.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday – only day runs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

Safe delivery of orders to regional customers sites.Assist with the loading and unloading of the vehicle.Verify all product loads for quantity and quality prior to departure.Ensure the truck is road ready by verifying the load is secure and adheres to all FMCS standards.Perform pre-trip inspection.Utilizing navigation technology to determine optimal route.Maintain and update all mileage records.Provides customer service excellence when dealing with customers and their employees at customer sites.Participate in ongoing personal development opportunities.Other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

The Warehouse Driver position’s work environment involves sedentary and ambulatory activity.Communications may be made via paperwork, telephone, and various electronic methods.Driver must be able to physically move around facility and climb in and out of trucks/trailers on a regular basis.Dusty warehouse and packaging environment.Extreme seasonal temperatures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Company insurable CDL License required – must pass MVR Review.Current AZ license with clean CVOR.At least 2 years of forklift experience.At least 5 years driving and customer service experience.Knowledge of load capacity, safety guidelines and general maintenance of CDL truck.Self-motivated, high energy, and engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlook.Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and problem solving-skills.Must be very detail-oriented and meticulous in how work is performed.Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook.
