This is the job for you We are currently looking for a Mainframe Developer for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

• Work schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze, design, develop, and implement solutions.
• Manage and coordinate offshore resources.
• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and external technical partners to ensure understanding of risks, options, and overall solutions.
What you will need to succeed:
• 5+ years’ progressive information technology experience with full application development life cycle and systems integration experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of mainframe environments.
• Experience and understanding of TSO/ISPF, DB2, IMS, JCL, and other mainframe utilities.
• Experience using COBOL or PLI, and SAS development languages.
• Understanding of MQ Series and other middleware technologies.
• Knowledge of Insurance and Wealth Investments Financial Service industries.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban would be an asset.
• Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins is a plus.
• Keen appetite for learning relevant technologies and for continuous self-improvement.
• Ability to keep current with trends in emerging technologies.
• Excellent problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and consulting skills.
• Ability to deliver analysis, design, development, and implementation of solutions.
• An effective communicator who will utilize their technical knowledge to lead technical discussions with stakeholders and external technical partners in a manner that ensures understanding of risks, options, and overall solutions.
• A team player who actively collaborates to enhance both client satisfaction, team dynamics, and operational efficiency by consistently seeking opportunities for improvement.
