Job Summary

Our 12 bed Regional Paediatric unit is a state-of-the-art facility that offers outstanding family centered care to our paediatric patients, including Eating Disorders and Paediatric oncology.

Qualifications

•Current R.N. Certificate of Registration from the Ontario College of Nurses required
•Recent experience working with Paediatrics (within the last 5 years) required.
•PALS required or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
•Recent experience and knowledge (within the last 5 years) of Juvenile Diabetes, Childhood Asthma, Eating Disorders and Depression required
•Paediatric and Neonatal Resuscitation Course preferred
•Experience with initiation of IV's for children preferred
•Paediatric Assessment Course preferred
•Experience with paediactric oncology patients preferred
•Education in breast feeding preferred
•Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
•Demonstrated problem assessment skills
•Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
•Demonstrated individual leadership skills
