We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. In this role, you'll be supported by a team of passionate people who will mentor and coach you to develop as a logistics specialist.

Reporting to the Inbound Trucking Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator is a proactive and detail-oriented team member who supports logistics operations in a fast-paced environment. This role requires the ability to quickly learn and utilize computer systems for smooth coordination of transportation activities. You will collaborate within a dynamic team environment to streamline workflow and meet the needs of clients and internal stakeholders promptly.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Logistics Coordinator?:

Collaborate with carriers and internal stakeholders on accounts payable statements, fostering strong partnerships and financial accountability Prioritize and route inbound messages to the appropriate Logistics Coordinator, ensuring efficient communication and resolution Maintain meticulous records of shipment tracking, generate exception reports, and update the ERP system and internal stakeholders accordingly Manage the tracking of diverse shipments, including trucking, intermodal, and marine containers, ensuring seamless transit from origin to destination Handle freight claims for damaged shipments, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption Secure Proof of Delivery documents for completed orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness Uphold adherence to EH&S and quality protocols, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment Input data accurately into various software systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, JD Edwards E1, and Microsoft Teams, facilitating efficient operations Receive and participate in various training sessions given by team members or managers

What are the requirements needed to have success in this position?:

Working toward or have a College diploma or University certificate in transportation management, supply chain management or operations management would be considered an asset  Knowledge of the world of distribution or manufacturing. Warehouse experience would be an asset Basic knowledge of road transport (good knowledge of main roads and highways) Strong organizational skills and attention to details to ensure accuracy in inventory management, shipping documentation and more Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal and external partners Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint; to work effectively with the Office 365 suite Must be able to quickly learn and adapt to new software and digital tools – knowledge of logistics software would be considered as a strong asset Excellent time management, proven ability to prioritize and to manage multiple tasks and projects at once Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
