POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you ready to use your talent and creativity to make a real contribution to the success of Canadian entrepreneurs? BDC is looking for a graphic designer to join its in-house creative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and producing various communication tools and other promotional material. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the application of brand guidelines and contributing to the coherence of marketing initiatives.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

Creating visual content

Design aesthetically appealing, action-oriented visual content that conveys ideas or messages to the target audience.

Produce graphic elements for social networks, digital advertising campaigns, and marketing materials while respecting the company's brand image.

Act as an expert advisor to internal clients on graphic design, branding and visual communications.

Page layout

Layout digital and print publications (e-books, infographics, studies, publications).

Design or produce communication tools or promotional material using various established templates (PPT presentations, brochures);

Present proofs to in-house customer or art director and make any necessary changes until final version is achieved.

Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams to maintain an integrated approach to the design and production of marketing and advertising materials. 

Collaborate in the creative process with the Creative Copywriter or other copywriters to improve the quality of visual creations and the level of visual communication. Actively participate in short daily team ceremonies and contribute to problem solving.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree in design (or equivalent)

Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in a large company or agency

Excellent command of In Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator

Experience in graphic publishing

Interest in content for social networks

Rigor and speed of execution

Creativity, sense of aesthetics and dynamism

Great attention to detail

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, while prioritizing workload to meet tight deadlines

Knowledge of html5 or animation graphics an asset

Bilingual (French and English)
