In this position you will have the opportunity to:

Collect data from various sources and integrate into Geographic Information Systems(GIS).
Compile spatial information into GIS
Analyze data sets
Produce maps
Maintain and update databases.
Configure and maintain computer hardware and software
Assist in resource planning
Train and oversee staff.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
Perform other duties as necessary.

What do I need to be successful?

5 years professional GIS and GPS experience
Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the abilityto perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with current GIS and GPS software andhardware.
Knowledge of and ability to use various computer systems and peripherals.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to provide regional technical support for all GIS and GPS applications to a widerange of personnel.
Ability to work independently and efficiently at multiple tasks.
Ability to respond in a timely manner to special requests for data distribution.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Land Surveying, Computer Science or related field.
