Your Opportunity:

As the Eating, Feeding and Swallowing (EFS) Program Facilitator - Clinical Coordinator (CC), you will be responsible for leading the development and coordination of therapeutic feeding services, in addition to supporting operational and clinical leadership at Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH), the CC will support the team to ensure that services offered are coordinated, effective, evidence based, and patient and family centered. Under the direction of the Unit Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for providing direction for on-going service development/improvement, delivery and program evaluation of EFS services. Leadership on department/program/service committees is expected. The CC is responsible for day to day leadership within the service or program and ensure that systems are in place to promote ease of transition between programs internally and externally. The CC will provide varying degrees of direct clinical care at an advanced level. The roles assumed by the CC include process coordination, service leader, resource person, and role model. Daily coordination of the program may include workload utilization, scheduling, referral triage, prioritization, equipment management, service leader, resource person, and role model and interdisciplinary student placements.As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the ability to collaboratively lead an interdisciplinary team & will exhibit excellent clinical reasoning & problem-solving skills including analytical thinking & conflict resolution/negotiation; will be organized in managing a large & complex caseload; will demonstrate initiative, adaptability & flexibility to meet varying clinical & operational needs; & will demonstrate effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

Description:

As a Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for the coordination of services, in addition to operational and clinical leadership. You will provide clinical supervision and education to interdisciplinary staff and students in order to support their ongoing day to day professional practice.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Education, Physiotherapy, or Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a clinical leadership role is an asset.Specific training and education in program evaluation is an asset.Experience in a pediatric tertiary setting.Must be able to identify issues, set priorities and implement an appropriate plan of action.A proven ability to work collaboratively.Completion of coursework related to change management, project leadership, quality improvement methods, health services planning, system design, team building, communication and/or leadership.
