What it’s like to be a Service Desk Analyst at Fairfax Financial

The Fairfax Service Desk Analyst is responsible for assisting in providing day to day front-line user support and diagnostics for routine, non-routine, and escalated desktop hardware/software concerns and application questions for assigned business units and/or client groups.

If you are great at:

Provide office-wide support handling end-user and teams requests. Receive, assess, and distribute tickets as appropriate. Use fundamental technical skills, knowledge, and experience to implement appropriate solutions to resolve a variety of simple issues and problems within established guidelines. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and team members. Develop, maintain, and produce service/support reports and documents as required.

If you have:

Post secondary school education in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Information Systems Support or a related position is an asset. Knowledge of Windows operating systems and exposure to other Northbridge operating systems (AIX, IBMi, Linux, MacOS, z/OS) is an asset. Knowledge of Applications Office 365, Lotus Notes, Printers, and 3rd Party Applications (Adobe, Chrome etc).
