The Candidate will be a key member of the engineering organization responsible for design, development and implementation of the electrical systems for HVAC products that meet or exceed best in class performance.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Complete the electrical system design for production orders including the production/manufacturing package, purchased part specifications, standards, and drawings.Analysis and evaluation of engineering designs, drawing reviews, completing Bills of Material, ensuring quality and on time completion.Support manufacturing, sales & marketing, applications, quality, supply chain, and customer service through the entire product lifecycle.Interface with suppliers, internal and external customers, and internal and external field personnel to support the sales, design, manufacturing, commissioning, and service of HVAC products.Coordinate with Development and Test Engineering to improve design for manufacturing (including panel layout and wiring harness).Initiate design changes to standardize SolutionAir products.Initiate design changes to improve and find efficiency in SolutionAir products.initiate and track design changes required due to extenuating circumstance like supply chain challenges.Support and troubleshoot electrical and controls to assist technical field service personnel.Overall responsibility for all aspects of electrical design requirements of all product families.Support system design engineering, product engineering, manufacturing, sales & marketing, quality and supply chain functions.Interface with vendors, customers and field personnel.Complete all necessary product changes needed to support production, supply chain, and external customers.Work with 3D CAD systems for completing models and drawings including schematics, panels, and wiring routing/diagrams.The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or Technologist Diploma in Electrical/instrumentation/Electronic/Computer Technology.Registered or eligibility for registration with EGM or CTTAM(or Equivalent) 3 years in product design and development of large mechanical, commercial, or HVAC equipment.Knowledge of electrical and control system design (PLC and DDC applications), and development of theory of operations.Experience in design release for production and Engineering Change Controls including MRP systems, Bills of Materials, DFMA, 3D CAD design, wire harness design and routings, cable design and routings using SolidWorks (Other CAD acceptable)Knowledge of IP, BACnet, LONtalk and ModBus communication protocols.Experience in developing and implementing unit tests for electrical systems and controls verifications. (Factory Acceptance Tests and QA)Experience in the design of the electrical power distribution system and schematics/circuit diagrams using SolidWorksExperience in the design and integration of electrical/electronic circuit design and analysis, including digital electronics, microprocessors, instrument quality, analog electronics, power electronics, power supply design, etc.Knowledge of applicable industry standards and agency compliance, including UL and CE certifications.Thorough appreciation and understanding of the complete product development life cycle, including definition, implementation, industrialization, sales, and support.Strong communication and organizational skills.Knowledge of programming using Visual C++, C#. visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python.Valid passport is required for travel in North America.On-the-Job experience in evaluating and managing risks, solving problems, and achieving project objectives.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Confident working hand-on, Safely, with electrical systems up to 600v ACSelf-motivation, innovation drive, accountability, and ownership.Should this excellent opportunity interest you, please submit your resume, including salary expectations.
