The Opportunity

Cardinal Concrete , a division of Lafarge Canada, is the leading supplier of ready-mix concrete in the Sea to Sky Corridor. We are currently seeking a Concrete Pump  Operator to join our team.

To be successful, you will thrive in a fast paced, customer oriented environment, and take pride in being responsible for safely operating and maintaining ready mix concrete pump equipment.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all Lafarge safety and Environmental policies and procedures. Operation of pump truck Maintain equipment by doing daily Pre and Post trip inspections, have a good sense of accountability to keep equipment clean inside and out.

Qualifications

Certified Pump Operator  Must have current & valid Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement. Must have clean driving record as evidenced by current Drivers Abstract. 3 to 5 years of experience with concrete boom pumps and line pumps Have a flexible schedule. This position may require an individual to work different shifts as well be available most weekends. Must be safety conscious, critical thinker and physically fit - Able to lift > 50lbs. Must have good depth perception, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and awareness for surroundings Must be a very strong team player with a positive attitude

Wage: $38 per hour

Incentives: in off season operator will have the opportunity to continue to work in various position in operations and heavy equipment. 

As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required.
