About this Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Production Foreman, this position will place a priority on health, safety and environment. Plant Operators will have a full working knowledge of gas plant operations to ensure that gas products meet specifications. 

The candidate must reside locally within 70 kilometers of Leslieville, AB.

Job functions will involve:

Ensuring Environment, Health & Safety are a top priority, and completing all work with a safety conscious attitudePerforming operating assignments and maintenance on plant equipment and local field equipment to ensure a safe working environmentReview, understand and fully utilize Paramount’s safety and operational procedures and standards in performing all facets of workEnsuring that oil and gas or power products meet specificationsRecommending modifications to plant and field processes where performance can be improved. Work with the Operations Team on preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is running efficiently and safelyMonitor facility and field readings, product sampling and quality controlAssist with contractor permitting, driver orientations and supervision for on-site operations.Participate in review, modifications or development of facility proceduresStart-up, operate and shut down unit operations within the gas plant Ensure all safety documentation is completed for all personnel working in the facility under operations careParticipate in SOP development as requiredParticipate in commissioning and start up activitiesIdentify and troubleshoot process upsets, take action to resolve issuesComplete incident reporting and participate in incident investigations as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must have accomplished a High School Diploma Power Engineering certification would be considered an assetPFO/GPO industry training courses, or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience in a Plant operator roleValid H2S and First Aid certifications and hold a Valid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseAbility to maximize production through process optimizationProcess Experience includes, but not limited to:PLC/DCS/Spartan Delta VGlycol de-hydration and Mole sieve de-hyrationRefrigerationDeep cut turbo expander Inlet/sales compressionPipeline pigging/integrityInlet separationNGL RecoveryCondensate stabilizationHot Oil and Salt bath heater Good understanding of business concepts in order to minimize costsMust be a strong team player with excellent communication, problem solving, decision-making, well organized, reliable and excellent attention to detail skillsGood working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to learn, adhere and work with all Paramount based software programsProactive and self-starter that demonstrates initiative and an entrepreneurial attitudeAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, partners and stakeholdersHave a creative, open-minded approach with the ability to work independently and as a part of a teamAbility to provide shift coverage upon request.Participate in ERP training Required to work a 7 days on, 7 days off shift (12 hour shifts) that will rotate between day and night shifts
