What you’ll do:

Prepare, administer and be responsible for the sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH (Sales Per Employee Hour) of the Grocery department, and to ensure proper management of assets and adherence to a maintenance schedule. Uphold merchandising standards, marketing efforts, staff appearance, and housekeeping. Ensure high quality of customer service and Hassle-Free Guarantee Program is followed. To ensure adherence to the image checklist as per facilities and equipment. Complete accounting activities in a timely manner including preparing the annual budget and ensure claims, invoicing, cheque cashing, loss prevention and credit procedures. Practice recruitment activities and procedures aligning with personnel and policies.  To be responsible for developing a yearly staff training plan and ensuring that it is followed, as well as implement and enforce written performance expectations and standards. To hold regular staff meetings and to ensure all staff receives annual reviews and the opportunity for development is planned for and the initiative is taken to improve knowledge, skills or attitude.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

Have 5 years of retail experience, management or supervisory experience would be considered an asset. Have a high school diploma (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). You are honest and trustworthy. Are self-directed and resourceful, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to and accommodate changing deadlines and priorities of all parties.
