ABOUT THE

OPPORTUNITY

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assayer 3to join our Mill team.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Agnico Eagle. Located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Macassa Mine remains one of the highest gold grade mines in the world. Macassa commenced operations in 2002, and with the discovery of the South Mine Complex has been able to increase its level of production significantly over the past five years. The mine is located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system and a private airport. High-grade ore is processed at the Macassa Mill, which currently has available capacity and is located in close proximity to the mine.

The Laboratory processes Mine Production and Exploration samples for grade control providing vital information in a timely method to assist in key decision making relating to mining/geology activity and reconciling samples entering and exiting the Mill Process. Personal accountabilities apply to this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Competency in Basic Mill Common Core & Alignment to Mill Classification Guideline (AEM Mill Operations Training Classification Guideline) Maintain records of the receipt and analysis of the samples, standards and reference material. Weigh, measure, record and mix samples. Organize workspace to process samples from the mine following a chain of custody procedure. Crush and pulverize ore samples to the consistency required (-10 mesh). This is our Standard Operating Procedure. Perform routine inspections on machines and equipment to determine if any maintenance is required Responsible Quality Assurance (QA) Keep work areas clean to maintain a safe and clean working environment (Housekeeping)

QUALIFICATIONS

Good oral and written communication skills An eye for detail and accuracy Capacity to learn Should have 2 years of experience to be considered competent Training on the job is provided but requires steady commitment Aptitude for prioritization of repetitive tasks (efficiency)
