Registered Nurse | Pacemaker Clinic

The Registered Nurse:
•Through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of quality patient care delivery;
•Provides comprehensive and coordinated nursing care to clients as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team, working collaboratively with family practice and/or specialist care physicians, health authority clinics and/or other community locations.
•Assists individuals with cardiac rhythm disorders, cardiovascular and other related chronic conditions in individual, group or telehealth settings, to achieve and maintain optimal health through collaborative patient-centered goal setting and action planning, case management, chronic disease related education, health promotion and other clinical care, follow-up monitoring and treatment.

This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with casual employment and lead to regular employment.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days; Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:30, 08:00 to 12:00 hours.

Trail: KBRH is a 75-bed full service regional hospital serving 80,000 people in the Kootenay Boundary region. Surgical services include General, Orthopedic, OB/Gyne, ENT, Plastics, Urology and Ophthalmology. The Trail Pacemaker Clinic is a clinic that supports patients with implanted devices (pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders). The clinic offers patient education and follow up services for device management and heart rhythm review.
Trail is situated on the Columbia River in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. It is a special place with affordable real estate, outstanding recreational facilities and an abundance of outdoor activities.
