We are SLR Consulting (Canada), a 550+ team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals across 18 office locations in Canada. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of advisory and over 30 technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability, we are Making Sustainability Happen.Job DescriptionAs our business continues to grow and diversify, we are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills to play an important role on our geotechnical team.
Key Responsibilities Specifically, you will:

• Participate in all facets of geotechnical projects, including project coordination, construction monitoring support, and reporting assistance.
• Conduct field programs while adhering to health and safety standards.
• Assist in the preparation of a variety of technical summary reports, and work with other disciplines ( hydrogeology, air quality, permitting and ecology) as needed.
• May assist with geotechnical site inspections and associated technical summary reporting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting, with understanding of soil mechanics - co-op and internship experience will also be considered
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, with a Master’s degree preferred
• Experience with drill rigs and performing geotechnical investigations preferred
• Willingness to work on a wide variety of geotechnical and mining projects, including field investigation, laboratory testing and interpretation; geotechnical analysis; design and construction
• Able to work independently, including ability to work alone in remote locations and adapt to conditions/resources
• Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization (, ,)
• Valid driver’s license
