Title: Shipper/Receiver
Location: Aylmer, Ontario 
Salary: $45k+ (Based on experience) 

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join their manufacturing facility in Aylmer. The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments of materials and products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the shipping and receiving process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shipping Duties:

   • Prepare and pack outgoing shipments of finished products, materials, and supplies according to shipping specifications and requirements.
   • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary shipping documents using computerized systems.
   • Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries and ensure timely shipment of orders.
   • Verify and ensure the accuracy of shipping orders, including quantities, items, and addresses.

2. Receiving Duties:

   • Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, parts, and supplies, inspecting for accuracy, quality, and condition.
   • Unload and unpack incoming shipments, recording received items and quantities into inventory systems.
   • Organize and store received materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper identification and inventory control.
   • Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

3. Inventory Management:

   • Maintain accurate inventory records by updating computerized inventory systems with shipping, receiving, and stock movement information.
   • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to reconcile inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
   • Monitor inventory levels and reorder points, initiating purchase orders for replenishment as needed.

4. Warehouse Organization:

   • Keep the warehouse and shipping/receiving area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
   • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and store materials as required.
   • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies for handling, storage, and transportation of materials.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Proven experience as a shipper/receiver or in a similar warehouse/logistics role within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures, packaging techniques, and transportation regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and shipping documentation.
• Proficiency in using computerized inventory and shipping software/systems.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment safely.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
