Underground Pipelayer

On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking skilled Underground Pipelayers with experience in underground utilities construction to join a reputable team in Edmonton and Leduc, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an industry leader committed to innovative solutions and technological advancement.What You Do:Train, mentor, and motivate junior crew members.Carry out site foreman’s directives safely throughout daily operation.Install various sizes and materials of pipe.Work safely in deep trenches.Safely operate around excavation equipment including excavators, loaders, and packersCut pipes to required lengths.Check slopes for conformance to requirements using levels or lasers.Dig trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching tools.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Ensure compliance with Alberta OH&S guidelines and company safety policies and procedures.Perform other duties as required.Who You Are:3-5 years working as a Pipelayer in the Deep Underground Utility Installation industry.Thorough knowledge of pipe lasers and transit use (leveled, grade, proper working order).Ability to read blueprints and city specifications.Ability to read and understand locates.Good verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.What We Offer:Industry-leading wage based on experience.Excellent Health and Dental benefit plan.Professional and career development opportunities.Strong commitment to safety in the workplace.A supportive and family-oriented team environment.Please note: All employees are required to pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Test and provide a valid Driver’s Abstract (no more than three months old) before starting work.
