Welder Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. As a Welder/Fitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of metal components

Following all CWB approved welding procedures for prepping and welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Developing templates and other work aids to hold and align parts

Use hand tools, power tools, and press brake machines to cut, shape, and bend metal pieces

Weld and fabricate metal components using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding

Perform quality checks to ensure that welded components meet the required specifications

Helping with assembling subcomponents and components

Experience:
Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role

Able to weld in all positions using GMAW, GTAW and FCAW

Fitter-Welder Trade Certificate (437A) with experience in a manufacturing plant is an asset

Ability to read AutoCAD and Inventor prints

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding principles and techniques

Skilled in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
