Job Description

Under the responsibility of the maintenance supervisor, the welder main tasks are to maintain, repair and improve components according to health and safety standards and to restart production equipment as quickly as possible. The welder will support the maintenance and mold department.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7 AM to 4 PM

Here is an overview of your tasks:

  • Inspect, maintain and repair molds for production;
  • Provide support to the maintenance team;
  • Use machining tools to fabricate parts needed for machine overhaul, maintenance or assembly;
  • Participate in the installation or improvement of production equipment;
  • Make sure to do an impeccable job within a reasonable time to limit downtime;
  • Constantly seeking improvement, correction or implementation of new procedures to increase productivity and eliminate problems at the source;
  • Collaborate with different departmental activities;
  • Ensure that a clean, safe and organized work environment is always maintained;
  • To be constantly looking for new knowledge;
  • Any other related duties.

Qualifications

  • DEP in Welding;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience;
  • Mechanical aptitude is an asset ;
  • Precision and thoroughness.
