Overview

Lafarge is recruiting a Truck Transport Technician for a permanent position located at our Oak Bluff
Location. The Heavy Duty Mechanic s are responsible for equipment used in all areas of the operation. A high level
of safety practices must be used at all times.

Responsibilities:

Preventative maintenance service General equipment and vehicle repairs Maintain paper and electronic records Diagnose and repair equipment and vehicle deficiencies Maintain shop equipment In field equipment service and repair General safety in and around equipment and operating plant Reporting unsafe job sites and procedures Maintain a positive image to the customers and the general public Ability to plan work and self-direct Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

Truck transport technician pre-employment course. A valid class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

Able to read and understand schematics Use of computer-aided diagnosis tools Diagnose and repair hydraulics and electrical systems Diagnose and repair engine and power train issues Experience with Cummins and Paccar Engines Ability to read and complete work orders Ability to perform small welding repairs Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work overtime and shift work as needed The working environment is indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Other: 

Must have own hand tools.
