Internal Auditor / Senior Internal Auditor

Overall Responsibility:
The Senior Internal Audi t or will manage signifi c ant pa r ts of the o v e r all audit (f r om the planning phase t o the c ompl e tion of the audit and the closing me e ting) under the r esponsibili t y of the Global Assurance Manager or Supervisor. The projects a r e t o be pe r f ormed as per the M e thodolo g y and in c on f orman c e with the IIA standards. The Senior Internal Auditor will perform SOx tests under the r esponsibili t y of the Global Assurance Manager or Supervisor. This will also m e an inc r e ased r esponsibili t y regarding the de v elopment of risk a s se s sments and the risk-based audit plan, as w ell as knowledge sharin g , regarding le s s e xperien c ed audi t ors on the t e am. As approved by their leader, the senior audi t or will pa r ticipa t e in special p r oje c ts (, digitalization projects, f r aud in v e s tigations etc.) and a s signments in o ther A r c elorMit t al units.

The Global Assurance Senior Internal Auditor reports t o the Global Assurance Manager or Supervisor for an assigned region.
Accountabilities:
-
Participate in the risk assessment process under the direction of the Global Assurance Manager or Supervisor for identifying projects for inclusion in the risk-based audit plan and for SOx planning purposes.

Perform projects (internal audits, advisory services, agile reviews) in the risk-based plan under the direction of the Global Assurance Manager and/or Supervisor. This will particularly include:

Comply with methodology, IIA Standards and documentation requirements in performing projects.
-
Participate in the planning for a project.
-
Gain an understanding and document controls in the project scope through walk-throughs and flowcharts or narratives.
-
Test design adequacy and effectiveness of controls.
-
Identify and recommend improvements in internal controls and value addition opportunities.
-
Participate in the discussion of the results of the testing and the recommendations raised with the process owners/managers
-
Participate in the writing of the draft audit report.
-
Participate in the periodic follow-ups of recommendations.
-
Identify cost recoveries and value additions.
-

Perform SOx compliance testing under the direction of the Global Assurance Manager or Supervisor.

P e r f orm special a s signments at the r eque s t of the Region Head.

Use data analytic procedures in assessing risks and testing to improve the extent and effectiveness in testing controls and increase the testing coverage in searching for any errors or unusual transactions.

K eep up with emerging technologies and provide suggestions to N for integrating such technologies into Audit, and SOx activities in assigned region.

Develop and maintain e f f e c ti v e w orking r elationships with management in assigned region to:

Qualifications:

Uni v ersi t y deg r ee in A cc oun t an c y / E c onomi c s / Busine s s Admini s t r ation / Engineering / C ompu t er Scien c e / La w.

P r o f e s sional Qualifi c ations (Cha r t e r ed A cc oun t an t , CPA, CI A , CIS A ) or o ther p r o f e s sional qualifi c ation (Engineerin g , PhD., L egal) is required.

Intermediate to Advanced understanding of the steel industry.
Work Environment:

Office environment with plant exposure on various projects. Travel to the joint venture and subsidiary locations for stays generally in the range of 1 week.

Hours of Work:

Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required to meet project deadlines or resulting from periods of peak workloads.
