PAL Aerospace  is currently seeking an Integration  Manager to join our dynamic team in  's , NL  on a  full-time basis

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the Systems Integration Team as the Systems Integration manager, reporting to the PAL Aerospace Vice President Systems Engineering. Plan and manage the Integration and Test program, including the development and execution of Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, Physical and Functional Configuration Audits, Aircraft Mission System Activation and Configuration, Airworthiness Compliance, Transition into Service, and Customer Acceptance events and activities, through the Systems Integration Lab, Aircraft Ground and Flight verification, Fielding, and In-Service Support phases of programs. Plan System Integration activities, including development of plans and schedules for mission system and aircraft configuration, test and fielding tasks Manage the Mission System Observation and System Problem Report processes and quality records, including supervising or conducting investigations, including root cause analysis and forming recommendations for rectification.  Assist Program Management, In-Service Support and Supply Chain activities with Systems Integration guidance, including working with suppliers and third-party vendors to generate quotes, draft Statements of Work, attain and evaluate technical specifications, and take part in obsolescence management.  Participate in configuration and change management activities Support Systems Engineering activities including review of plans, estimates, designs, requirements, specifications, reports, and procurement of mission system equipment Monitor and supervise supplier and sub-contracted hardware and software development, and deliveries for mission system equipment  Monitor and align vendor and supplier equipment, services, and software deliveries for schedule, compliance verification, obsolescence, and cyber notifications, including liaising with sub-contractors to generate quotes, Statements of Work, and contracts. Travel to other PAL and Customer sites, such as Ottawa ON, Vaughan ON, St. John’s NL, the UK, Europe, the Caribbean and the UAE approximately twenty percent of a year.  Keep abreast of industry trends and technology developments for possible implementation into PAL supported aircraft and Systems Integration Laboratories, as well as processes, tools, and techniques for a best practices approach to continuous improvement.  Apply and demonstrate a high level of knowledge and skills in mission systems and system test principles.  Communicate effectively to various stakeholders ranging from team members, collaborating department and divisions, as well as senior executives in situations involving technical problems, processes, and solutions. Review RFP documentation, draft proposal documentation, assist with client meetings and trade shows, when assigned Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or similar program, or a Technical Diploma with equivalent experience 10 years of Systems and Test Engineering experience is required; experience in aerospace programs is considered an asset Knowledge of airborne, land, and/or maritime surveillance missions and the equipment used to support them; experience with military or civil ISR systems and integrated mission systems preferred Experience running large scale, complex technical programs  Demonstrated leadership abilities in a large organization, matrixed technical organizations an asset Experience managing a diverse team Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical know-how Knowledge of automation, and simulation-driven testing Knowledge of avionics data protocols including ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, serial data protocols, and others. Knowledge of cyber security best practices for mission systems  Knowledge of Ethernet LAN and WAN architectures, and network device configuration. Knowledge of military and/or civil airworthiness qualification standards and processes. Knowledge of, and experience with Systems Engineering tools, standards, and process models (e.g., DOORS, JAMA, SYSML, DNDAF/DODAF, SWEBOK, INCOSE, SEBOK, DO-160, aircraft related MIL-STDs, NIIA STANAGs, IEEE/ISO/IEC 12207)  Knowledge of Agile processes for work management and Systems Engineering interfaces with software / system suppliers employing Agile development processes.  Proficiency with Wikis, O365, Microsoft Office, engineering drawing, and data analysis tools Troubleshooting experience and superior analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Superior communication skills with the ability to work with diverse team  Demonstrated flexibility and able to adapt in a dynamic environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to excel in a deadline-oriented environment Able to obtain Canadian Level II (Secret) Security Clearances and participate in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering drawing/analysis tools
