About the opportunity

The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for a one-year limited term faculty position at the rank of Instructor.

The successful candidate will teach four courses at the undergraduate level, with a focus on design-based courses, in the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, both in the upper and core (lower) division.

The successful candidate will prepare for, and teach the following four courses in the 2024-25 academic year: ENGI 2203 Engineering Design II, MECH 4015/4025 Design Project I/II and MECH 4500 Vibrations. The successful candidate must provide evidence of demonstrated excellence in, and commitment to, teaching. The candidate will be expected to develop innovative teaching methods for their assigned courses and participate in service at the Department level.

The candidates must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (PhD preferred). Candidates must be eligible and committed to be a registered professional engineer in Nova Scotia.

The deadline for applications is June 12.
