Meat Manager

What you’ll do:
Oversee, plan, and manage daily operations of the department to meet brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery objectives. Provide leadership to the team through recruitment and selection, training and development, and performance appraisal and management, including taking disciplinary action when required. Ensure all team members adhere to Co-op standards regarding merchandising, signage, team member appearance, housekeeping, health and safety, and loss prevention. Foster a positive work environment that promotes a strong culture of engagement within the department. Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, controlling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.Who you’ll work with:
The team: You will oversee a team of eight meat cutters and meat clerks, and report to the Food Store Manager.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
Have a Grade 12 Diploma. Have 3+ years of leadership experience. Previous retail management or meat cutting experience considered an asset (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Have an ability to handle multiple demands and can be adaptable, organized, and efficient. Are customer service-focused and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do. Believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
