This position is located in the Lloydminster, SK area on a client site.

Working Conditions

• 5-5 shift; 12 hour days & nights

• Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions

• Working at heights over 100’

• Working in and around noise and dust

• Steel-toed safety boots will be required

• Overtime as required

Responsibilities

• Load Petroleum Coke and Diesel on rail cars and do all coke car movement.

• Rail yard car movement and sorting of different types of coke cars to accommodate shipping of coke to the different customers.

• Wash down conveyor room after coke loading has been completed for the day.

• Inspect at the end of day, grease and fuel equipment (Loaders).

• Load end dump trucks with Petroleum Coke.

• Assist Client Maintenance personal on the coke structure and conveyor system when required.

• Assist with and participate in the servicing and making of minor small repairs to equipment.

• Complete and maintain all pertinent documents

Qualifications

• High School Diploma

• Willing to join the Local 870 union

• H2S Alive

• Fall Protection

• CSTS-0.9

• Valid class 5 driver’s license

• Drug, Alcohol, and Fit for Duty testing

• General construction safety knowledge

• Experience operating heavy equipment an asset

• Experience with conveyor systems an asset

• Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience

• Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions

• Positive attitude to safety

• Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude

• Superior written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance

• Stand or walk for long periods of time

• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects

• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects

• Safety equipment will be required, fire retardant apparel, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, hearing protection and gloves to be provided

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation is commensurate with experience, quality and production capabilities and is above industry average

• Overtime is compensated per the Local 870 collective agreement
