Senior Accountant – Job Description

Title: Senior Accountant

Reports To: Controller

Job Duties

Supervise the bookkeeping of accounts (including, but not limited to, making journal entries and account reconciliations) of the business; Keep accurate and complete records of all financial and administrative activities; Provide, revise and update internal reports so that they are more convenient and efficient, then provide external reports, as needed; Prepare monthly billing to franchisees; Support for internal billing verification and follow-up of procedures related to new franchisees; Preparation and verification of accounts payable and corporate credit card reports; Prepare the analysis and regularly monitor the cash flows; Follow up on the collection of accounts receivable from the company; Preparation, verification and accounting of payroll; Preparing the monthly tax return for consumption; Prepare monthly dashboards to provide simplified financial information to operations, facilitating decision-making and monitoring of results; Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts; Prepare and provide support for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; Analyze the monthly financial statements according to the budget; Maintain end-of-year documents and worksheets, and assist in the preparation of independent audits or audits; Assist in the maintenance of policies and procedures relating to complex financial and accounting matters; Implement new processes and processes to improve and improve the Finance department

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline and / or equivalent combination of postsecondary education and relevant technical experience CPA student – an asset 3-5 years and over of experience in business accounting Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central 365 - an asset Experience in the field of franchising an asset Good knowledge of the complete accounting cycle Excellent computer skills and general understanding of computer accounting systems Practical knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PPT)
