We are currently hiring for a Maintenance manager in Mississauga
Position Title: Maintenance Manager
Salary: 90-100k
Location: Mississauga, ON,
Hours: Days - 8 and/or 12-hour shifts with possible call ins, however, must be willing to work alternate schedules or overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.

The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for the day to day maintenance of the facility and for supervisory responsibilities of the hourly maintenance staff.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Ensures that maintenance crews work in a safe manner.
•Ensures all safety work orders are completed in a timely manner.
•Ensures the reliability and availability of equipment to meet operational requirements
•Ensure timely completion of work orders
•Provide verification of project completion including, budget, documentation, and performance
•Provide engineering and technical support to facility
•Participates and supports all Health and Safety programs, initiatives and GMPs.
•Make process and equipment improvements to eliminate downtime, reduce cost, improve production and quality
•Assist in providing technical support to all departments in support of proposed improvements
•Review other facility improvements for both application and benefit
•Improve upon and maintain plant wide predictive and preventative maintenance programs on all major assets for all departments
•Actively train all department members in process improvement techniques and facilitate full support to plant continuous improvement projects
•Support and facilitate all TPM’s and other machinery related improvement activity
•Develops and manages the preventive and/or predictive maintenance program and take part in continuous improvement activities.
•Participates in different work committees and follow up on activities (improvement projects, OH&S committee
•Supervise all maintenance personal daily with detailed expectations, comprehensive instructions and coaching or discipline as needed
•Plans and coordinates work of maintenance employees
•Manage technical training for the Maintenance Department
•Develop training as new equipment and processes become available
EXPERIENCE REQUIERED:
•Red Seal Millwright is ideal or some level of technical/engineering background.
•Minimum of 5 years operations maintenance experience in manufacturing.
•Strong Electrical Background - PLC Certificate preferred
•5 years leadership experience supervising hourly maintenance personnel, preferred
•Mechanical and electrical experience maintaining high speed manufacturing equipment
•Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
•Proficient computer skills in MS Office and database programs.
•Demonstrated self-starter with initiative, excellent people skills, strong personal leadership, organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to adapt and implement change, effectively work in a team-based environment Working knowledge of maintenance and development methods for continuous improvement (Kaizen, SMED, etc.)
•Working knowledge of safety policies and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act.)
