Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications and renewable energy.


Valard is currently seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (Mechanic) to maintain vehicles and equipment based out of Saskatoon, SK. Shift for this position will be 8 days of work followed by 6 days of rest.

Requirements

- Applicants must have their own transportation to/from site and be reliable with a strong work ethic. Must adhere to DOT regulated driving hours for operation of a vehicle in excess of 4500kg (service truck).

- Qualified applicants will be skilled in the area of diagnostics on engine, hydraulic, modern emission systems service and repair.

- Experience in a wide variety of heavy equipment makes and models including Construction equipment (Yellow Iron) and Utility equipment (Digger trucks, Bucket trucks, Nodwell track units, cranes)

- Welding would be considered an asset

- Preference will be given to those able to perform CVIP inspections, as well as to those with utility equipment experience (e.g. telehandler, four wheel loader, Crane)

- Must have a valid Driver's license

- Must hold a valid Heavy Duty Red Seal Journeyman Certificate
