Randstad Canada is hiring for an Electrical Assembler in Airdrie for one of our leading clients in the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry.

This position is intended to be an initial contract via Randstad Canada until the employee is able to converted to the client's team as an internal employee.

The location is on Hopewell Place NE, Calgary

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week with opportunity for overtime.

Starting wage is $22 per hours, pending shift schedule.

Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler

Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for mounting and basic wiring of components with standard layouts/options, performs sub-assembly functions, as required, and developing enhanced wiring skills under the direction of a more experienced Electrical Assembler.

Specifically, the successful candidate in this position will:
• Assemble and mount electrical, mechanical and sub-assembly components onto pan, into enclosures, structures etc. by following standard layouts
• Wire electrical products with basic/standard options as required by following customer drawing packages and schematics
• Wire electrical products with a non-standard option by following customer drawing packages and schematics under the direction of a more experienced Electrical Assembler
• Check for functionality by performing continuity check , e.g., buzzing out
• Complete checklists as required
• Assemble enclosures/structures where applicable
• Deliver sub-assemblies to the production areas
• Support inventory maintenance in sub-assembly area by performing cycle counts, following standard materials procedures, accessing information through CSSM

The successful candidate must have Grade 12 or equivalent level of education, effective communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player. Knowledge/experience with basic wiring schematic symbols is an asset

Responsibilities
Assemble and mount components per standard layouts.
Wire electrical products per customer drawings and schematics.
Wire non-standard products under guidance.
Perform continuity checks.
Complete checklists.
Assemble enclosures/structures.
Deliver sub-assemblies to production areas.
Maintain inventory with cycle counts and standard procedures.

Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent education
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Team player
Knowledge/experience with basic wiring schematic symbols is an asset
