Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting demand and managing inventory levels to ensure optimal supply chain efficiency. You will collaborate closely with various departments to align production schedules with market demands, utilizing your expertise in demand planning systems and methodologies. This position is crucial for maintaining the commitment to quality and customer satisfaction while minimizing excess inventory.
Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to accurately forecast future demand.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop effective demand planning strategies.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage inventory levels and ensure timely product availability.
- Monitor and adjust forecasts based on changing market conditions and customer feedback.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Prepare reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain performance metrics.
- Work with SAP or similar systems to track inventory movements and manage stock levels efficiently.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate demand planning insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in demand planning or supply chain management is preferred.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and SAP software is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
