About This OpportunitySenator’s Health Centre in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia is searching for a family physician to join this robust and rewarding collaborative practice. The successful candidate will join four other Family Physicians, one Nurse Practitioner, a Family Practice Nurse, one Social Worker, and a part-time Dietician.
This office is in a brand-new space which offers ocean views This opportunity awaits the right candidate who is looking for the chance to join a busy and exciting collaborative practice.
- delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
- work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
- participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities
- utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members
- all applicants must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all family physicians must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Glace Bay, located on Cape Breton Island, is one of the communities in the Eastern Zone. Kitchen parties are a way of life in this quaint and historic mining town.
