This Instrumentation Engineer Position Features:

• Great Pay from $100K to $140K, based on experience
• Hours - Monday through Friday (usually, they do four 9 hour shifts and then leave around 11 am on Friday)

Role Profile:
Instrumentation Engineers and Technologists provide expert consultation in one or more areas for the design, implementation, testing and commissioning of process instrumentation in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry. The individual works hand in hand with the Client to ensure the design is technically sound. This
position requires hands on hardware design, integration, application development and testing. This position reports to Instrumentation Lead as a member of the Engineering Team.

Main Duties:
- Promotes Safety, Quality and Lessons Learned for Projects
- Support and provide input into the development of the Proposals
- In review with Process prepares Instrument Datasheets for pressure, temperature, level, flow transmitters and actuated valves and is capable of selecting the right technology for the application
- Performs infrastructure design (wiring, cables and associated hardware) of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Burner Management (BMS), Fire and Gas (FGS), General Purpose PLCs and Analyzer Systems
- Capable of designing Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Relay Controls for specific applications
- Performs Panel Design for the above systems; develops material specification to support procurement activities
- Prepares scoping and commissioning documentation to support Construction and Commissioning activities
- Supports development and execution of testing procedures for control systems
- Vendor offer reviews and Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for equipment
- Supports Functional Safety studies including Hazop, LOPA and SIL verification for - - Work with Project Manager/Engineer to manage project priorities and changes
- Prepare technical and status reports for the project-
- Identifies scope changes and proactively recommends solutions and provides estimating

Role Qualifications and Skills:
- Engineering Degree or Technologist Diploma (Instrument, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical)
- Experience in Programmable Systems in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry (Preferred)
- TUV FSEng Certification and knowledge of function safety (Preferred, for design of Safety Systems and also for supporting Functional Safety Studies)
- Self-Starter and able to work with minimal supervision
- Customer Focused, ability to solve client problem and work independently at client site
- Effective communications skills to enhance productivity and builds respect
- Works well within a Team Environment
- Strong Safety behaviors to support Client Safety Cultures
- 3-15 years’ experience in the Engineering Design Industry
