Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic individual with a keen eye to detail and a positive demeanor for this role. The successful candidate will have Red Seal designation and focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement in our manufacturing plant. This role is based out of our plant location in Langley, BC and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

This is full-time position with rotating 12-hr shifts (7am-7pm), with a proposed hourly pay range between $45-50, depending on skills, knowledge, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial machinery as well as repairing mechanical, air, and hydraulic systems related to our equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and facilities. Isolate and identify causes of malfunctions on production equipment. Complete and maintain maintenance forms, records and log books of the equipment. Keep maintenance shop area clean and organized. Perform a variety of other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Red Seal Millwright certificate and a minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience on related repair, maintenance and installation of equipment pertinent to a production shop environment. A strong focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail is a must. Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills that include the ability to read, comprehend ideas, information, complete reports and forms. Ability to work in a team environment and under direct supervision Flexible to work beyond scheduled shift if required to troubleshoot significant breakdowns

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing plant environment requiring varying degrees of physical labour consisting of lifting from light to heavy (up to 50 lbs.) Climbing heights in excess of 10′ Working in confined spaces The use of hand tools Considerable amount of sensory attention is required
