Now Hiring for Vernon Active Living Centre

Position Description: Clark Builders is hiring a Foreman for a large project in Vernon. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising trade employees assigned to a particular construction discipline or work area.

Please note that only candidates local to the Vernon area will be considered.

Reporting to: Superintendent

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in planning work schedule(s) and determining and maintaining workforce requirements, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Clark Builders safety policies and proceduresIdentify hazards and correct any unsafe conditionsLead QA/QC checks and inspectionsLead site specific orientations and tailgate meetingsDraft and submit RFI’sAssume control of the site if the Superintendent is off siteOther duties as requiredRepresent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful mannerAdhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures

Skills and Knowledge:

The ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and communicate this information to othersExcellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential.Conflict resolutionThe capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season

Qualifications:

Journeyperson trade certification8+ years of construction experienceValid first aid certificate an assetValid Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset
