Financial Planning and Analytics Manager

OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analytics Manager (Asset Management) to support Global Asset Management during a maternity leave backfill. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support to senior business leaders. The successful candidate will partner closely with business and finance stakeholders to monitor financial performance, assess strategic initiatives, and provide insights that drive value across the portfolio. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned FP&A professional with asset management and banking experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and analytical environment. Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)Contract Length: 5 Months (Extension Possible)Hours: Standard business hoursPay Rate: $59 T4 / $68 on IC RESPONSIBILITIES Develop detailed financial and economic analysis to support Global Asset Management decision-making Act as a trusted financial advisor to assigned business leaders and stakeholders Support and lead financial planning, forecasting, outlook revisions, and performance reviews Prepare and maintain annual plans, forecasts, and targets using plan, forecast, and actual data Perform variance analysis and VHforward-looking financial analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and performance drivers Assess and determine the financial impact initiatives and strategic business decisions Incorporate initiative impacts into future forecasts and financial plans Review business cases, perform due diligence, and support investment review and approval processes Align key performance indicators (KPIs) with financial forecasts and strategic objectives Develop and support methodologies and policies for financial analysis across revenue, expenses, balance sheet, and capital Integrate financial and operational data from multiple systems to enhance analysis and streamline reporting Build and maintain customized tracking, exception, and performance reports Monitor financial performance and proactively identify and address issues Support strategic planning activities and long-term business initiatives Identify emerging trends and issues related to economics, treasury, and competitive insights Influence and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives Exercise sound judgment to diagnose and resolve complex financial and business problems while managing non-routine and time-sensitive deliverables Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical financial support as needed QUALIFICATIONS Must-Have 5appearance–7+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis Experience within Asset Management , ideally in a manager or senior capacity FP&A experience within banking or financial services перем Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, and performance management Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Deep financial acumen gained through education and hands‑on business experience Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations Nice‑to‑Have Accounting background or designation Experience with Anaplan and/or Essbase Exposure to treasury or capital management concepts SOFT SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills Highmí level of influence and negotiation skills Data‑driven decision‑making mindset Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity Proactive problem‑solver with sound judgment EDUCATION Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
